Motorcyclist killed, driver charged in Davie County crash

DAVIE COUNTY, NC (WGHP) — One person was killed in a traffic crash in Davie County on Wednesday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

On Wednesday at approximately 7:03 p.m., state police troopers arrived on NC 801 in Davie County after receiving a report of a two-vehicle crash.


Investigators say Timothy Hudson of Mocksville was driving a pickup truck north on NC 801 before turning left onto NC 801 south and striking a motorcycle driven by Mark Dellinger.

Dellinger was fatally injured and died at the scene of the accident.

As a result of the accident, Hudson is charged with negligent homicide, driving on the left, and reckless driving.
