Two men suffer electric shock in accident involving tipping trailer



Two men were electrocuted in a dump trailer accident at a wastewater treatment plant in Missouri on Tuesday morning.

The accident occurred on May 28 in Dunklin County, Missouri, at the City of Clarkton Wastewater Treatment Plant on East Commercial Street at approximately 8:05 a.m.

According to KFVS 12, police were called to the scene because there were reports of a possible vehicle fire with two injuries. When officers arrived, they discovered two unconscious people lying next to a semi-trailer following an apparent accident involving a dump trailer.

The investigation revealed that the men were lifting a dump trailer when it came into contact with a high-voltage power line, causing both men to suffer an electric shock.

John Langston and William Lesslie were both pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
