Cumberland County man charged with raping mentally disabled person

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Cumberland County man is accused of allegedly abusing a mentally disabled person.

Middlesex Township police said after a months-long investigation they obtained an arrest warrant for Waren Mena of Carlisle. Mena was charged with rape of a mentally disabled person and indecent sexual assault of a mentally disabled person.

Mena is also charged with financial exploitation of a dependent, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

With the assistance of the Carlisle Police Department, Mena was arrested on June 20 and taken to the Cumberland County Jail.

Mena is being held in the county jail on $75,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on July 3.
