2 minors arrested in stolen car chase in Sacramento | police

The driver, a boy, is in custody on three felony charges relating to the chase and the theft of the car.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Four minors were involved in a chase that ultimately ended in a crash on an Interstate 80 ramp in Sacramento, police said.

According to Sacramento police, officers found a stolen car described as a black Kia in the area of ​​Northgate Boulevard and San Juan Road around 5 p.m

Police said she tried to get behind the car but it accelerated away. According to police, despite the police lights and sirens being on, the car failed to yield and led them on a chase.

Eventually, police stopped pursuing the car, but a few minutes later the car was seen by a police helicopter as it left the roadway on the I-80 eastbound ramp and crashed into a tree.

Police said the driver and passenger tried to escape but were quickly arrested. Two passengers in the back seat were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
