A pedestrian-car accident closes all lanes of Guide Meridian near Smith Road

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – First responders were dispatched to the 5000 block of Guide Meridian around 3:35 a.m. Friday, May 10, for a report of an accident between a car and a pedestrian.

As of 6 a.m., all lanes were closed in both directions between Axton and Kelly Roads.

Washington State Patrolman Kelsey Harding told Whatcom News that the pedestrian involved was pronounced dead at the scene
