Man arrested after early morning SWAT operation in East Austin

A man was arrested early Saturday morning in East Austin following a SWAT operation.

The Austin Police Department responded to a 911 call about a disturbance in the 1300 block of Ludlow Terrance, near Westmoor Drive, at approximately 3:30 a.m. The initial 911 call later triggered the deployment of the SWAT team.

As SWAT officers arrived to deal with a possible barricaded suspect, a man left the home around 6:40 a.m. and turned himself in to police, according to APD.

The man was arrested and charged with domestic violence.

According to APD, this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.
