Houston woman arrested for hitting 8-year-old nephew against wall, assaulting law enforcement officers

A Houston woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting her 8-year-old nephew, including throwing him against a wall and also assaulting two peace officers.

The charges allege that on June 21, Christian Michell Bordere caused bodily injury to his nephew by punching him, strangling him and forcefully pinning him against a wall. The reason why she beat him was not revealed.

Court documents indicate the assault on the young boy was not the only offense, as Bordere also allegedly assaulted two peace officers during his arrest.

Bordere was charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer and one count of injury to a child causing bodily injury. His bond was set at $10,000 for the charge of injury to a child and $7,500 for each charge of assault on a police officer, for a total of $25,000.
