Silver Alert issued for missing man with Alzheimer’s disease in Madison, Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Both the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) have issued a Silver Alert for a 73-year-old man who went missing in Madison on Saturday afternoon.

According to MNPD, John Hambrick was last seen outside the Dollar General in the 600 block of Gallatin Pike around 1:30 p.m. According to TBI, Hambrick was wearing a black t-shirt, black pajama pants and black shoes at the time.


Police described Hambrick as 6 feet tall, with gray hair, a mustache, a goatee and glasses.

The 73-year-old also suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has to take medication for it, authorities said. His health condition could affect his ability to return safely without help.

No further details have been released about the circumstances of Hambrick’s disappearance.
