Man killed in shooting in North Highlands

(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into a shooting Monday morning in North Highlands that left one person dead, according to sheriff’s officials.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., a 911 call was made from the 3300 block of Myrtle Avenue. When police arrived on scene, a man was found with a gunshot wound.


The man was later pronounced dead at the scene and the Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit took over the investigation.

Investigators are working to collect surveillance footage and possible witness statements to identify and locate a possible suspect.
