Madison man arrested for reckless driving after citizen complaints

The arrest took place early Friday morning.

(Ripley County, Indiana) – Following complaints from concerned citizens, someone was arrested for reckless driving on Friday.

Justin Mahoney, 34, of Madison, was arrested for reckless driving. He was allegedly charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, which is another misdemeanor.

Indiana State Police were patrolling State Road 129 between Cross Plains and Versailles after receiving several complaints about a driver repeatedly driving dangerously through the area during the early morning hours.

Shortly before 6:00 a.m., a police officer spotted Mahoney driving north on State Road 129 through Olean, allegedly driving more than 40 miles per hour over the speed limit.

Mahoney was arrested during a traffic stop without incident.
